The Institute is a community-based outreach and research program of the School of Behavioral Sciences and Education at Penn State Harrisburg.

Boys ReadingThe purpose of the Institute is to improve the quality of care for young children by developing, providing, and coordinating a wide variety of professional development opportunities in the South Central Region.

Institute services include: Non-credit CDA programs, series and individual training workshops, onsite Keystone STARS technical assistance to STARS early learning programs, and Early Childhood Mental Health Project services to all early learning programs in the South Central Region.
