This Institute is a Community-Based Outreach and Research Program of the School of Behavioral Sciences and Education at Penn State Harrisburg

Boys ReadingThe purpose of the Institute is to improve quality care for young children by developing, providing, and coordinating a wide variety of professional development opportunities in the South Central Region.

Institute services include: Penn State credit and non-credit course offerings, onsite Keystone STARS technical assistance to early learning programs, and Early Childhood Mental Health Project services to all early learning programs in the South Central Region.
