SDA (Service Delivery Area)
The Capital Area Early Childhood Training Institute (CAECTI) serves as the Service Delivery Area for an eight county area - Dauphin, Cumberland, Perry, Lancaster, Lebanon, York, Franklin and Adams Counties - for PA Pathways, the state child care provider training system. In this role CAECTI works in conjunction with the training organizations in the 8-county region to ensure that high quality, well-coordinated training events are being offered to child care providers in this region. The primary goal of the Service Delivery Area is that through collaborative efforts of all area training organizations we are better able to meet the training needs of providers by offering a broader spectrum of training opportunities for all providers - Family, Group Home, and Center-based programs. Another task is to ensure through utilization of a new trainer approval system that all trainers are qualified to lead a high quality workshop. Trainers will be offered ongoing professional development opportunities. Training content will be reviewed and coded using the Core Body of Knowledge. The Service Delivery Area will also be supporting those programs interested in participating in the Keystone Stars initiative that have specific training needs.
